How far am I, really?
The Dashboard splits the journey into the part you control and the part you do not. The bar shows how close you are, and the finish line reads as frozen whenever processing is paused. Below it Belong: Know Where You Stand lists the routes open to you, such as standard naturalisation or spouse of a German citizen, each carrying its own status.
A frozen finish line is not a setback. It means your side is on track and the wait is political, not yours.

What stands between me and the decision?
Path opens a single route and lays out every requirement in order. A green tick is met, a blue dot is in progress and a red lock is blocking everything behind it. Each item explains the rule in plain language and links to the official source, such as your local Einbürgerungsbehörde in Germany.
The locked item at the bottom is the one holding up the decision. Everything above it is already done.

What could set me back?
Standing watches the moving ground, your time abroad and your record. Add a trip and Belong: Know Where You Stand counts it against the interruption budget, so nothing quietly crosses the line that would restart your German residence clock. Your record sits here too with a plain read on whether anything on it actually delays you.
Most short trips and small fines do not count. Standing is where you confirm which ones do.

Am I ready for the test?
Practice is your briefing on the citizenship knowledge test, the Einbürgerungstest in Germany. It lays out the rules that matter, 33 questions with 17 needed to pass, then links to the free official study material from the Bundesamt für Migration und Flüchtlinge. Belong: Know Where You Stand points only at the official source and says plainly that third-party sites are not.
The Einbürgerungstest runs regularly at licensed test centres across Germany. Practice keeps the dates and the links in one place.

What drives all of this?
You is where every number comes from. Set your country, the month you became resident and a short list of honest toggles for permanent residence, marriage, language exam, knowledge test and self support. Change one and the Dashboard updates right away. The legal disclaimer lives here too, because Belong: Know Where You Stand tracks the rules but does not give legal advice.
Start here on day one. The rest of the app is only as honest as what you enter.
